What |
Independent Data Centres is aiming at Edge Data facilities for the South Island, with Christchurch to be the flagship facility that will expand to house up to 360 Data Racks

Why |
More data is being consumed locally. Coupled with need to serve timely data requests cloud based solutions housed in Auckland or overseas is an incomplete solution. There is a real need to house systems and services within our region, without the control of the Telcos, and not within old out-dated unsustainable data centres. |

Our centres will not be controlled by major integrators or telcos. c but inclusive as we will have any carrier that wants to be in our data centres.

Capacity |
Our initial Datacentre for Christchurch is planned to house 360 Racks
|

|
Density |
Equipment is getting more capable and requires more power. Our racks are 1222mm deep, and can hold 1.5 Tonne per rack. The centre design is for an average of 10Kw per rack Power and cooling (can be more by request).

Sustainability |
Our design plan incorporates the newest of technologies first in New Zealand. Coupled with Aquifer cooling it will make this the greenest and most sustainable Data Centre in New Zealand |
